You’ve come to the right place.

Shopping

Sometimes you just want to shop ‘til you drop, and there’s no better time than vacation! You’re feeling good, and we heard a rumor that the money you spend while you’re on vacation doesn’t actually translate back to your bank account in real life. What? That’s not true? Okay, we digress…

One of our favorite places to shop is the new shopping center at the nearby Disney Aulani Resort. You don’t need to stay there to take advantage of these incredible shops! With options for high fashion, unique gifts, and even casual poolside/beach needs, you’ll find a little bit of everything here.

Go Out to Dinner

Calling all foodies! A classic activity during any vacation is, of course, eating. We all do it, so why not make it fun?

Ko Olina has so many incredible restaurants that it’s hard to narrow down just a few. We’ll shout out the restaurants at Disney Aulani for their variety, amazing atmosphere, and exquisite attention to detail.

Other favorite restaurants in Ko Olina include:

Monkey Pod

Monkey Pod was founded on its commitment to craft, and that commitment shines through in every dish. Swing by for some amazing food and drink, like the famous Monkey Pod Mai Tai and Garlic Truffle Fries. They have happy hour every day from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., so be sure to stop in!

Eggs ‘N Things

A classic breakfast spot right here in Ko Olina! Recently, they celebrated 50 years here in the 50th state, and they’re proud to have served Hawaii reliably for over five decades. Enjoy meals like fresh fruit rainbow pancakes, plantation pork chop and eggs, and much more.

Mekiko Cantina

Looking for some quality Mexican food? Look no further than Mekiko Cantina.

You're in for a real treat with delicious appetizers like bacon-wrapped shrimp and classic Mexican dishes like fajitas and elote! Stop by between 3:00-5:00 PM for happy hour deals on their delicious margaritas and even a $7 chimichanga—what a steal!

Ko Olina Sport Fishing

Head out on an adventure during your stay in Oahu! This is one of our favorite adventurous things to do in Ko Olina. Whether you’re an experienced fisherperson or you’re venturing out on the waters for the first time, you’ll have a blast with Ko Olina Sport Fishing!

Book a private charter for up to 6 passengers and get ready to reel in some remarkable catches. The area is home to fish like Aku (Skipjack tuna), Ahi (Yellowfin tuna), Ono (Wahoo), Marlin, Swordfish, and an array of other deep-sea treasures. Test your deep sea fishing skills out today on a guided charter tour, and explore Oahu by water!

Ko Olina Snorkel Tours

Oahu is famous for its snorkeling, and now’s your chance to see what all the hype is about. One of the best spots to snorkel on Oahu is the Ko Olina Lagoons. A variety of fish take residence in these waters, from goatfish, butterfly fish, Moorish idols, and more.

The distance between lagoons is fairly short, so you have time to stop in at several and see which one you enjoy best. Honu Lagoon, the second lagoon, is one of our favorite spots to snorkel. The lack of current and shallow waters (only about 4-5 feet of depth) make this a great spot to take kids out snorkeling. If you want a bit more guidance, take a snorkeling tour! An experienced professional can help you learn the ropes, so it’s not quite so overwhelming.

Head Out for a Spa Day

Ah, relaxation. Your Oahu vacation is the perfect opportunity to get in some R&R. One of the best ways to feel truly rejuvenated is by visiting a spa.

Treat yourself to the gift of relaxation here in Ko Olina. The Disney Aulani Resort in Ko Olina has a wonderful new spa on its premises that you’ll be excited to try out. Choose from signature services like Kilikili (Fine Gentle Rain) or Wai Lomilomi, or even get your partner to join you for a couples massage. Go on, get in some “me” time—you’ll thank yourself later.

Golf in Oahu

Golfing—the classic outdoor vacation activity. Oahu is quite well known for its golfing scene. We recently did a piece on Golf Courses in Oahu if you want to learn about these courses more in-depth!

Ko Olina is home to the Ko Olina Golf Country Club, a course designed by Ted Robinson that features lovely water features, multi-tiered greens, and spacious fairways. It’s an 18-hole gem perfect for golfers of all skill levels. Check it out if you want to tee off on your vacation to Ko Olina!
